Looking for something to do Halloween Weekend? Look no further!
“A marvellous and mysterious event…a Halloween celebration of the extravagant and the grotesque…an all-night spectacle of atmosphere, costumery and diverse entertainments…an explosion of live music, dancing, dark arts, fire and late-night revelry, snake-charmed into an absinthe-fueled early-morning speakeasy.”
Gilding Primal Instinct will be putting up an arrangement of frightening finery in their Cabinet of Curiosities. Be sure not to miss it along with some other great artists and performances!

To spice up the blog, I wanted to add a couple regular features to give you some insight into my inspiration and creative process.
I’m starting things off with one titled Got Character? that will explore character design in film. When I first began creating my collection I was very inspired by how costume and accessories are meticulously designed to support the development of a character’s personality in these mediums. In so many ways their appearance is just as important as the writing and direction. In my collection, the pieces are designed to immediately transform the wearer into a character and create a visceral reaction in the viewer. The films I feature in this section are ones that created the very same reaction in me.
Exciting news, Gilding Primal Instinct now has its first retail location! Gothic Renaissance is a New York City boutique that caters to lovers of macabre and alternative fashion; a perfect place for my jewelry.

Gilding Primal Instinct is now available ready-to-wear! The new collection was released this past Monday, April 4th, and has received a great response!
This collection, lovingly nicknamed Everyday Primals, is aesthetically and thematically based on The Hunter and The Surgeon characters. However, unlike their dramatic counterparts, these are better suited for everyday wear! Each piece in the collection is being released as a limited production series of 100 pieces. At the end of each series the pieces will be reviewed for re-release, a slightly altered design will be made, and a second series will be released. Get some series I pieces while you can!
The entire collection can be seen at my new revamped website: www.GildingPrimalInstinct.com
Time for another update!

It’s been quite a while since I’ve put up a post on here. Between formally registering my business as Danielle Nicole Adornments, LLC, planning my fabulous wedding, and participating in another Quarterly Arts Soirée things have been quite hectic. Although, I’m back to let you know that things are back in full swing here and I’m very excited to get cracking!
There are a lot of exciting new changes coming soon including and online store on my website, holiday sales, and new jewelry items!
